Since its inception in 1989, PGCC has been actively involved on the UBC campus with University Christian Ministry (UCM).
In 2004, UCM welcomed “Point Grey'er” James Perreaux to its staff as a C.M.I.T (Campus Minister In Training) Intern. James joins Arthur Howard, Rachelle Fulford, and an 8-person student executive in overseeing an ever-growing ministry to university students. Over the course of the year, UCM will facilitate weekly Thursday night worship gatherings, small groups called Cores, an International Student ALPHA, camping trips, outreach events, fall & winter retreats, social events, sports teams, bi-weekly $3 dinners (every other Thursday), and leadership opportunities and training. Furthermore, UCM will be managing “the House”, a recent PGCC acquisition turned guys' dorm.
If you are a university student, consider getting involved in UCM! You can also view a short documentary produced by PGCC's Arts Ministry about UCM. Check out UCM's website at http://ubc.ucmonline.ca
